公司的笔记本原先的 OS 是 Windows XP ，安装了 VirtualBox 后，试跑了 OpenSolaris 2008.11，感觉其中的 Time Slider 十分的不错。决定再分一个区，直接安装 OpenSolaris ， 于是 PqMagic 分区，在原来的基本分区和逻辑分区中间空出一个25G新的基本分区来。从做好的 USB 启动盘启动 OpenSolaris 开始安装到这个分区。
